Meet CHASEDAE, The Next Generation

Chasedae (차세대, 次世代 ) is a Korean independent rock band active since 2019, known for their explosive live energy, old-school rock’n’roll spirit, and the romantic, light-hearted world they have built around their music. Drawing from a mix of genres, ranging from Britpop, blues, punk and folk to jazz and reggae, the band has released 2 albums, 3 EPs and 5 singles, while building a fully independent musical world of their own. The band consists of Chanhee Lee, Junhyung Lee, Wonhee Lee and Gorae Nam, who have been friends and bandmates across different projects since school. They live together and operate completely independently, as all-rounder producers.

Chasedae are also the founders and owners of Dangdase, their self-run venue in Yeonhui-dong, where they perform every last Saturday of the month — the moment their music, energy and community come together most vividly. Dangdase is an expression of what Chasedae stands for: more than a place to build their own name, it was created for others to share in.
